Symptom #
Within the SAP Business One tools global configuration, you are unable to create a new connection to a company database. The following error message is received:
Load library for observer failed. Observer file name: C:\Windows\Temp\SM_OBS_DLL\'881317'\ObserverDLL_881371.dll
Cause #
The SM_OBS_DLL cache has become corrupt or inaccessible.
Resolution #
This can be resolved by completing the following:
- Stop the DI Server
- Delete the SM_OBS_DLL folder in C:\Windows\Temp
- Restart the DI Server
