Symptom #
Within the SalesLogix Connector Tool configuration when you add or update a connection configuration and then refresh the schemas, you may get the following error message.
System.Data.OleDb.OleDbException: No error message available, result code: DB_SEC_E_AUTH_FAILED(0x80004E4D)
Cause #
The username and password details entered into the SalesLogix Connector connection configuration are incorrect.
Normally this is due to having entered the database account login details instead of SalesLogix account login details.
Resolution #
Ensure the username and password details entered into the SalesLogix Connector connection configuration are the login details for SalesLogix, NOT the database account login.
