Symptom #
Unable to create a new exchange subscription when using the stored procedure Subscribe, the following error is received:
Creating subscription for email [EMAIL ADDRESS] based on the requested subscription 15 has failed 3 times. Agent will not attempt to create it until it is restarted. - Id is malformed
Cause #
This is caused by having an incorrect or unsupported value entered for the @ObjectOrFolder parameter:
Resolution #
Ensure that the subscription is being created against a valid object or folder and is one that exists on the supported item list as outlined below.
Below is a list of 35 supported objects and folders, they will need to be entered into the Value column exactly as they appear:
