Symptom #
When connecting to a Sap Business One web service the request fails and the following error is received in the event log:
HTTP Error 404.3 - Not Found
If the Sap B1 web service URL is pasted into a web browser, the “Detailed Error Information” would be similar to the following example:
Cause #
The requested resource (CommunicatorWS.svc), has no registered handler in IIS.
Resolution #
Turn on HTTP Activation located within Programs and Features -> Turn Windows features on or off
This will install the relevant (.svc) handler mappings for the web service and allow the request to processed correctly. See Figure 2 & 3 below.
