Symptom #

When you install or update you may receive the following error:

Error 1625: This installation is forbidden by system policy

Cause #

  1. You are not logged in as an administrator.
  2. A group policy is preventing you from installing the software.

Resolution #

  1. Ensure that the account you logged into the computer with is a member of the Local Administrators group.
  2. Right-click the setup file and choose ‘Run As Administrator’.
