Symptom #
At task runtime the SAP Business One Connector step fails with error message:
System.InvalidOperationException: Client found response content type of 'text/html; charset=utf-8', but expected 'text/xml'
Note: This message is not the actual error; it is an error about the format of the error message. If you view the error exception details you will see that the actual error is:
[ConfigurationErrorsException]: Unrecognized attribute 'targetFramework'
Cause #
Occurs where the SAP Business One connector web service application pool has an incorrect .NET framework version.
The SAP Business One v2 connector tool requires .NET framework 4.0.
Applies To #
TaskCentre tools for SAP Business One v 2.
Resolution #
Ensure that .NET framework 4.0 is installed (The full version, not the client profile) and that the SAP Business One connector web service application pool is configured to use it.
