Sap Business One Event Tool : Error 0x80040154 setting up available objects

Symptom #

Within the Sap Business One Event Tool and under the General tab, when you select from the Agent drop-down list you may receive the following error message:

Error 0x80040154 setting up available objects

You will also find under the Main tab of the tool that the Sap Business One Object and Operation drop-down lists are empty.

Cause #

This error means that a component has not registered correctly.

Applies To #

SAP Business One Event Tool.

Resolution #

  1. Open a command prompt as admin.
  2. Change the directory to the SAP B1 Tools installation directory, usually located within the following:
    x32bit systems
    c:\program files\Orbis Software(x86)\TaskCentre\TaskCentre Tools for SAP Business One\Tools
    x64bit systems
    c:\program files\Orbis Software\TaskCentre\TaskCentre Tools for SAP Business One\Tools
  3. Enter the following:
    C:\Windows\Microsoft.Net\Framework\v4.0.30319\Regasm.exe EvtWSEnc.dll /codebase
