Symptom #
Within the SalesLogix Connector Tool when you add or update a connection configuration and then refresh the schemas, you may get the following error message:
System.Data.OleDb.OleDbException: No error message available, result code: E_UNEXPECTED(0x8000FFFF)
Cause #
Caused by entering an incorrect Server Data Link Name in the SalesLogix Connector Tool connection configuration. The Server Data Link Name must be one of the connection names listed in the SalesLogix Connection Manager.
An example of a connection name would be: SALESLOGIX_EVAL.
Resolution #
Within the SalesLogix Connector Tool connection configuration ensure that the value for Server Data Link Name is a valid SalesLogix connection name.
