Orbis Intelliware to be integrated into Opera II accounting and business solution
Orbis Software is pleased to announce that Pegasus Software Ltd. is to integrate Orbis Intelliware with Opera II to proactively deliver business information to a wider community within their organisations. Opera II accounting and business software offers SME industrial strength functionality, great flexibility and real business advantage.
Orbis Intelliware from Orbis Software Ltd. gives organisations the powerful ability to manipulate their Opera II data through user-defined alerts and profiles via the familiar Microsoft Outlook or Exchange interface.
Alerts provide the ability to define business rules or criteria, which are monitored on a periodic basis. When a business rule is broken or certain criteria met, a user defined message can be sent via email, Task Request, SMS, fax or other messaging standards supported by Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Exchange Server.
Profiles allow organisations to synchronise selected subsets of relational data into Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Exchange Server folders. Within the Microsoft Outlook interface users can create forms containing user-defined fields building on the information obtained from Opera II. Outlook features such as integrated email, calendar and task management can then be used to add value to this information.
“We have invested over £2 million in developing Opera II and believe it offers the most effective solution to the SME market. This offering is made even more attractive to SME businesses via the integration achieved with Orbis Intelliware,” said Paul White, Managing Director, Pegasus Software Ltd. “The ability to set up business alerts and profiles using standard Opera II data combined with user definable information enhances the power of Opera II, giving customers the flexibility they need to use their financial data throughout their organisation.”
“This partnership places Pegasus Software as one of the most technically advanced and forward thinking accounts vendors. They have taken a significant step into ensuring their channel and end users receive leading edge technology as it becomes available,” siad Philip Smith, Managing Director, Orbis Software. “Orbis Intelliware will be an integral part of Pegasus Opera II. The exclusive OEM partnership provides an offering that is specifically tuned for Opera II data, including support for the data dictionary and the Opera II security model. Furthermore Pegasus Resellers will be provided with a number of pre-built business templates to choose from and which can be placed straight into the Opera II offering.”
Orbis Intelliware for Opera II will be available from December 2000 onwards through Pegasus Resellers. For information on Pegasus Resellers, contact Pegasus Software Ltd. on 01536 495000.
