GreatSoft embed BPA Platform into its CRM and practice management software
GreatSoft is an innovative and award-winning software development company in South Africa, offering CRM and practice management software for accounting firms and practices.
It has 700 clients throughout Africa, including three of the big five, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), EY, and KPMG, as well as medium-sized firms including Grant Thornton, RSM, BDO and Mazars to name a few.
GreatSoft has been using BPA Platforms’ automated notifications and alerts capability for almost ten years, fully immersing it into its CRM and practice management software.
GreatSoft Practice Management is a scalable solution designed for progressive accounting firms to improve efficiency and practice profitability, by enabling them to manage staff, clients and jobs in one database.
“We’ve completely embedded BPA Platform into our software, sitting on top of the SQL database as well as on our cloud-hosted environment. What we give to our clients is tremendous because we give them an extra tool; we just embed it in whatever we sell to our clients. It’s a value add to the client. We give them something that our competitors can’t offer; two-way notification and reminders. They find it invaluable. It’s really working well for our clients,” said Jean Pick, Managing Director, GreatSoft.
“In practice management, particularly things like taxation and secretarial, a lot of the departmental requirements that our clients request is a process or tool to make sure that they don’t miss anything, such as deadlines to submit accounts or when to pay a certain amount. The automated notifications and alerts capability of BPA Platform is the perfect solution.”
“Additionally, when our customers speak to a client, they usually enter notes next to the client. BPA Platform can monitor the system and then send reminders to certain partners, managers or staff, to follow up with the client or perform a certain task. One customer managed to save a fair bit when an alert informed him about staff overtime for one of the company’s clients.”
“Tax and legislation is a very big component in South Africa as well. There are lots of clients that rely on us to submit tax returns. In fact, we submitted over 200,000 tax returns last year. That all comes via our system with the alerts on top of it,” concluded Pick.
