QuoteWerks is a non-industry specific CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) application enabling companies of all sizes to quickly and efficiently create detailed, professional quotes and proposals. It works seamlessly with a wide-range of CRM systems, including ACT!, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Salesforce, Infor CRM and Sugar CRM, and even has its own built-in contact database.
QuoteWerks can retrieve customer information from these CRM systems, create links to quotes for the customer, schedule follow up calls in the CRM software for the customer and record emails sent to the customer. It therefore generates a wealth of critical customer and sales order data that needs to be shared with accounting or ERP applications.
Despite its heavy integration capabilities with CRM systems, QuoteWerks lacks standard integration capabilities with the majority of accounting and ERP systems (Access Dimensions, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, SAPB1), which many businesses rely on. Having to manually process this data entry can be costly, slow and prone to errors.
A solution for this scenario is to deploy Codeless Platforms’ BPA Platform, which can provide the integration required and help automate the transfer of data between systems, such as exporting quotes, orders, invoices and purchase orders to help drive the sales process. The BPA Platform can also update existing systems with missing customer information contained in the QuoteWerks document, or a missing item or part (stock item, non-stock item, service, or labour).
Integrating QuoteWerks with custom add-ons / apps
Using the QuoteWerks API it is possible to extend the functionality of QuoteWerks by integrating custom applications that perform any specialised task you need by reading and writing information to the active QuoteWerks document.
For example, you could have a dedicated warehouse management application. Alternatively, you could have an application that analyses the content in QuoteWerks documents to perform validation checks or cross-reference the quote totals and items on the quote. All information gathered can easily be written back and forth to QuoteWerks via the BPA Platform’s automation capabilities.
Integrating payment service with accounting systems with QuoteWekrs
QuoteValet is the online quote delivery and acceptance vehicle for QuoteWerks and is a more robust way to deliver quotes to customers and prospects. Rather than attaching a PDF file to the quote and emailing it to the customer (where spam filters strip it out), QuoteValet will create a personalised web page where customers can selection options, ask questions and even sign electronically. Credit card payments can also be collected from the customer and deposited directly into a checking account.
This information obviously needs to be pushed into accounting systems. Currently, however, the only accounting system that QuoteValet is synchronised with is QuickBooks. If you are using another accounting package, then the BPA Platform can be deployed to connect it with QuoteValet.
