New installer will create a web service that can facilitate HTTP and HTTPS calls between TaskCentre and remote applications
Orbis Software, a provider of business process automation solutions, today announced the release of its API Web Service Tool Pack v1.0. This pack provides a web service application enabling remote applications to communicate with TaskCentre using its API.
The TaskCentre API Web Service allows remote applications to communicate with TaskCentre. It is a layer that sits between TaskCentre and the internet or between TaskCentre and a private (intranet) network. Over HTTP or HTTPS, it allows remote applications to trigger tasks and populate variables in those tasks with key information via the web.
This first release includes an installer that will create a web service that can facilitate HTTP and HTTPS calls between TaskCentre and remote applications, enabling the triggering of individual tasks and the population of variable values in those tasks. Both SOAP and REST protocols are supported in this application, which can be used with the most commonly used programming languages:
