This is a useful function where key data is automatically generated in a target system. It allows you to look up data in that system’s tables using an ODBC or OLEDB query. The data connections used are the same as used for the existing query tools.
Alternatively the table that it looks data up in could be a completely independent table, not part of source or target system, which is maintained by another task.
