Automating Business Processes
These back end systems need to be integrated to allow the management of product information, order processing, shipping and inventory levels and remove the manual process of uploading information. The Listing Service API also provides the ability to process and manage information regarding open listings in a ChannelAdvisor account.
Orders and Shipping
Orders will more than likely be handled by your accounting, CRM or ERP system. This information therefore needs to be retrieved from ChannelAdvisor. As buyers place orders on marketplaces, ChannelAdvisor will import the orders and make them available to download.
Codeless Platforms’ ChannelAdvisor Connector can automatically retrieve this information and push it into your core business system. Once an order has been successfully saved into the system, it should be acknowledged in ChannelAdvisor by marking it as exported, which allows for filtering the order out of subsequent calls to get new orders.
ChannelAdvisor can create basic or advanced fulfilments for orders placed. The advanced fulfilment option allows you to ship from another warehouse, create partial shipments, and provide multiple tracking numbers. Codeless Platforms’ ChannelAdvisor Connector can then share this information with your despatch department and/or system. When an order or part of an order has been shipped to the recipient, the Connector can notify ChannelAdvisor of the details, which will then be submitted to the marketplace.
Utilising ChannelAdvisor Performance Data
Performance information can flow back through the ChannelAdvisor system, where the results are measured and broken down. The Connector can automatically extract this information and push it into accounting, CRM or ERP systems to help the business make better decisions about eCommerce strategies.
