From time-to-time, you may need to disable tasks from running. This is especially true if scheduled tasks no longer need to run at their set times — rather than deleting the Schedule
The Schedule tool is used to trigger a task to run based on a date and time schedule. Any number of Schedule steps can be created for a task. task step, you can disable the task.
Disabling a Single Task
- Log into the BPA Platform client.
- Expand Workspace and locate the task.
- From the Items List pane, right-click on the task and select Disable.

Disabling Multiple Tasks
To disable a number of tasks at the same time, hold down the CTRL key and select each task in turn. Right-click on one of the selected tasks and select Disable.
Alternatively, open the relevant task folder. Right-click in white space and select Disable All.
Automatically Disabling a Task
If required, you can have a task disable itself when it fails to run after a specific number of times for whatever reason. To set this, do the following:
- Open the relevant task.
- Go to the General tab and click Options.
- Go to the Advanced tab.
- From the Automatic Disabling pane, enable Auto-disable Task on a number of consecutive tries.
- Specify the number of consecutive tries in the box underneath.
- Click OK and save the task.
Enabling Tasks
To re-enable a tasks or multiple tasks, repeat the same procedures described above and select Enable.
