You can each an existing repositoryClosed Repositories are used by the Internal Memory feature to store memorised data in BPA Platform's proprietary database format. for specific text or for matching records.

  1. From the BPA Platform client, expand System and select Repositories.
  2. Either open the relevant Repository.
  3. Click Search.

  1. Select the relevant Schema from the drop-down. If you are unable to change this, this indicates the Repository only has a single schema assigned to it.

Searching for Text

  1. Enable Simple search.
  2. In Search criteria, enter the text to search for.
  3. If required, you can narrow down the search by Match[ing] whole word only or making the search Case-sensitive or both.
  4. Click Search.

Searching for Records

  1. Enable Advanced search.
  2. Build your search expression using the drop-downs underneath Search criteria:

    1. Select the required schema attribute to search for.
    2. Choose the relevant operator — standard operators are available.
    3. Enter the value to search for.
    4. Click Add to add the criterion to Search criteria.
  3. If additional criteria is required, repeat steps A to C above. Choose the logical operator of AND or OR and click Add.
  4. If required, use to add and remove brackets for criteria grouping purposes (highlight the relevant search criterion first).
  5. Use to re-order your search criteria.
  6. Click Search.

Saving the Search Criteria

If required, you can save your full search expression for use later or as a backup.

  1. Click .

Saving Repository Search Criteria

  1. To save the search expression to an existing Repository, enable Product store and select it from the drop-down.
  2. To save the search expression to file, enable XML File and click Browse for file. Enter the required file name and path.
  3. Click OK to save the expression.

Using Existing Criteria

If you have previously built a search expression and want to use it here, do the following:

  1. To open a search expression from an existing Repository, enable Product store and select it from the drop-down.
  2. To open a search expression file, enable XML File and click Browse for file to locate and open it.
  3. If required, use Preview contents to check the expression before opening it.
  4. Click OK.

Search Results

When the search has been completed, you can use Locate to find the record in the Repository — refer to the product help, About the Data Tab.

From the Search Results interface, you can also edit values for a found record:

  1. Highlight the relevant record.
  2. Click Open.
  3. Adjust the attributes values as required (double-click the value entry).
