The Print DocumentClosed The Print Document tool allows you to produce hard-copies of documents created by other task steps. All standard printer properties are available to produce run-time-specific output. tool does not require any global configuration; it can be immediately added to a task.

To add a new Print Document step to an existing task:

  1. Open the relevant task (if creating a new task, see How to Create a Basic Task).
  2. Either:
Click and drag the Print Document icon from the Task Browser to the task Design area.

From the task's Design tab, right-click on empty space and select New > Output > Print Document.
  1. In the General tab, Name your task step and select the input document source.
  2. Go to the Main tab and choose the Printer for this task step.
  3. Go to the Printer Definitions tab and choose the settings for the selected printer in the Main tab.
  4. Go to the Options tab and select the relevant error handling options for this task step.

  5. Click  to save the task step.
